Leighton Meester’s Quest for Singing Success

Most of us know her as the devious Blair Waldorf on the hit show “Gossip Girl,” but Leighton Meester proved to be quite the talented actress in her latest movie “Country Strong". The 24-year-old recently sat down with MTV News and explained that, although she’s not even a country singer, she worked closely with her very own music producer to perfect her role as a country singing beauty queen.

Kim Kardashian Posts Shots From Debut Music Video In New Year’s Eve Tweets

Twitter announcements include high-fashion stills from her upcoming project.

Kim Kardashian took to Twitter on Dec. 31 to announce her foray into music and offering a peek at her upcoming debut music video via a couple of exclusive stills.
"2011 is all about trying new things and going for it! I’m starting mine with something fun and crazy!" the reality TV star tweeted.
The two images posted on the site show Kardashian in high-style shots, sporting cornrows in one and red highlights and oversized designer sunglasses in the other. The tweets did not include any further details about or audio samples of the 30-year-old burgeoning pop star’s music.

2011 People’s Choice Awards Winners in TV

The event is a fan-voted awards show which was held at Nokia Theatre on January 5 in Los Angeles, California. Other winners which were announced early were Neil Patrick Harris (Favorite TV Comedy Actor) and Conan O’Brien (Favorite Talk Show Host). The latter said on his acceptance speech, "When you’re up against Oprah Winfrey, you don’t want to win. It makes Oprah very, very angry."
Laurie once again won for his take on Gregory House, winning Favorite TV Doctor which was actually dominated by the doctors from "Grey’s Anatomy". Although the biggest nominee, "Grey’s Anatomy" could only manage to steal Favorite Guest Star for Demi Lovato. For Lovato who is in rehab, this is a consolation night for her TV movie "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" also won.
Voted as Favorite TV Shows in Comedy and Drama are "$#*! My Dad Says" and "Hawaii Five-0" respectively. Homer Simpsons and his family walked away with a trophy as Favorite TV Family, beating The Griffins, The Harpers, The Pritchetts/Dunphys and The Scavos.
Meanwhile, "Lie to Me" surprisingly pocketed two nods, one for Favorite TV Crime Drama and the other for Favorite TV Crime Fighter (Tim Roth). This would be especially meaningful for the FOX show which was not given a back-nine order recently.
2011 People’s Choice Awards also honors those in movie, music, and other fields.

Miranda Kerr And Orlando Bloom Welcome Baby Boy

Congratulations to proud parents Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom, who just welcomed a baby boy!
Victoria Secret model Kerr, 27, married British actor Bloom in July and gave birth at a L.A. hospital on Thursday, Australia’s Herald Sun newspaper reports.
Kerr’s parents Theresa and John flew in from Australia to be with their daughter on her first day of mommy hood.
Although the baby is born in America, Kerr tweeted recently that her first born will be "an Aussie through and through".
